What Home Means To Me

What Home Means To Me The meaning of home to me is my family, my friends and where I am loved. It means waking up in the morning with the raise of the sun peeking through my window, getting out of my thick warm blanket and going downstairs with the smell of pancakes in the air and the syrup drizzling down to my plate. Home also means traditions, food, memories and many other things. Home is a place where you are free to do whatever you want, and experience many different feelings. It means being surrounded with people you love and enjoy spending time with. It means the walks at the beach, playing board games when we are bored, the movies we watch together, all the fun and laughter we have, the big trees we see in our windows, the food we cook, and the good memories that we create. Home feels warm and welcoming, every time I step through the door, I feel relaxed and happy to be there after a long day at school. I see my little sister doing homework, my two cats coming towards the door to welcome me, it is quiet and I only hear my cats meowing. I put my bag down on the bench and my sister starts talking to me about what happened to her at school. When I come back from school at home I do not worry about anything and do not feel stressed anymore, all my thoughts disappear and now I am calm and relaxed. I sit down on my bed and see the colors in the sky fading to sunset, pink, orange, purple, slowly turning to night. It is a place where you can learn, grow, and try new things.Home can be anything and anywhere, it could be some very special objects, people you love and care for or a secret special place. A home comes in all different shapes and sizes; it is what you do with it that makes it a home.
