What home means to me.

What does home mean to you? A house is a structure with walls and roof to keep us sheltered from the cold and the heat. A home is family, it is what makes a house a home. A place filled with all the people you love. People that help you when you need it. People who care for you and that love you no matter what. Home means laughter. Laughter in every room of the house. Laughter is the best medicine, and we lift each other up by sharing a smile or a laugh. When one of us has not had such good day, we try to bring a smile to them. Home is where we play board games, watch television or play outdoors. We make memories together. When we are watching movies, I make a lot of fun of the actors, or when we play monopoly, and my dad takes extra money from the bank. Home is where you can be safe and secure. Your family shares in your happiness and your sadness. No matter how big or small the rooms are we will always be sheltered by our family. The word home has many different meanings to different people but to me it means to be around the people you love most. It is where I first learn about faith, hope, charity and most importantly love. What does the word home mean to you?
