My Home

Home is a place where I live with my family. Home is a place from where I go to school from. Home is where I have a lot of memories. Since we live in COVID times, home means more than ever. My home means my family, all the stuff in our house and our view from the apartment. To me, home means my family and friends. Since all of my grand-parents live in India, I call them virtually and talk so it feels like my home has extended all the way across the ocean to India. I am also the only child. So I also call my younger cousin in the US and my older cousin in India to speak to them and share our feelings and experiences. Home also means what is inside also - like the dangling bird mobile we have on our ceiling which I can see from my bed. Another thing inside my home is all the lights from Deepavali festival. Deepavali is the Indian festival of lights. The home we currently stay in is an apartment. Since we moved from a large house to a smaller apartment, we have lots of stuff and we do not know where to keep them all. But I have still made place for all my toys, a cupboard full of toys actually. I love the view from my home. We live in Mississauga and from my balcony, I can see all the way to Toronto and beyond. Every day when I wake up in the morning, I see a totally different sky and I try to guess what the sky will be like the next day. There is nothing more important than a good, safe, secure home. I love our beautiful home. Home is a place where I am free to do whatever I want, to sing, to dance and to scooter around. I feel very safe in my house. It is very important to me because of the wonderful memories I have of it. I have moved to a new house in a new city every 2 years, but every new house is home to me.What I love most about my home is who I share it with. A home is a place, where you feel special, safe and comfortable.
