The Meaning of Home

The Meaning of Home By Chloe Where I live is a house with my grandma and grandpa. I live here with my mom, brother and stepdad. People that also live with me are my 2 uncles. We live on a quiet street that I can play in the yards. And there is a big hill. My house is quiet and peaceful. In my home I have a friend to play with when I'm done with online schooling and on weekends. My friend is my Uncle Jackson who is younger than me. We like to play real life among us, minecraft, colouring and dogs and cats. My home is a very loving home. We always tell each other we love each other. In my family we find different ways to tell and show each other how much we love each other. We do this by drawing pictures, helping each other out when having issues, we spend time with each other doing different activities. I can say that my house is very accepting of being yourself. We all can be ourselves without any judgement. I am able to have days where I am unable to communicate my feelings and my family helps me work through it. I can also be my crazy, loud self and not be judged. My home means that I am safe. What I mean by I am safe, I am able to have tough conversations with my family and not get into trouble. We all have each other's backs and will make sure we are okay. If I am in trouble we talk it out and figure out a better way to deal with the problem in a healthy way. In our home we have a policy about open communication. Open communication in our home means we are allowed to say whatever we may be feeling without any judgement. We are allowed to have our feelings but we need to be open to talking to someone about why we are having these feelings. If we are unable to explain why we are having these feelings then my family helps me work through it to figure it out. My home is always fun. We are always joking around with each other. We like to try and scare each other as a joke. My parents and grandparents always come up with fun activities for us to do. I always make funny pictures and we hang them on the fridge. My parents always take us on fun adventures to learn new things about nature and life. My family is always with me means I am never alone. My family is always taking care of me and I don't have to worry about not having them. I am always able to see my family when we are living with each other, I don't have to do facetime videos because of the pandemic. I have to facetime some of my family because they are not here with me in person, but I know they are always with me.
