A Home to Me

A Home to Me. My home, is a special place to be, But my home, is so much more to me. My home, is filled with music, My family loves me, and we’re not sick. I’ve had many homes, I’ve lost a ton, But to me, every home, is number one. I have a family, a mom, a dad, a brother you see, A home is a special place, where I can be. No one is mean, rude, or hurtful, Everybody is nice, kind, and grateful. A home is not built with walls and a floor, But a home is so much more. A home is built with peace and love, A home is all of the above. To me, my home is the best, I can learn new things, that are not on a test. In my home, I can bake, Some cupcakes, cookies, or even a cake. In my bed, I fall asleep, I rest my head and count the sheep. In my home, I can play, On a cold and stormy day. It makes me sad to see people living on the street, Seeing that they have no water to drink, or food to eat. Every word in this poem, a home is built, Everybody deserves a home, at least a quilt. Everybody needs a home, a place to be. That’s why a home, is so much to me.
