Home is Where the Heart Is

When I think of home, I think of a safe place A place to take refuge I think of happiness and family I smell noodles out of the wok, love fresh in the air, and burning Patchouli from my mom’s room I see a messy house, with my things scattered around I feel messy, scattered with feelings like anger, sadness But at the end of the day, the emotions are gone And somehow we all get along I know that home is a place to be myself Home is a place that I can come back to Home is safe, away from this pandemic But we need to stay in them, not seeing our friends I just wish this COVID-19 was put to an end
