Meaning of Home

When I think of home I usually think about my family, comfort, happiness, and love. When I think of home I think about my sister, my mom, dad and my dog. I have lots of good memories including snowboarding in the winter, or relaxing by the pool in the summer, or watching movies downstairs. I have two homes. One at my dad's house across Manitoba, and the house I live in now. At my dad's house it’s different. I only go there drinking the summers, and I usually stay up late when I’m there and build forts with my sister. At the house I live in now it’s not much of a treat to be here as much as my dad’s, only because I only see my dad on special occasions. But, I do get to stay up late and I have loving parents who are kind enough to get me a bed, and a Nintendo switch, an Alexa, and a whole bunch more. During weekends I usually kind of have a lazy day, and I play video games and talk to my little sister. My house is very big and nice. We have a backyard, a swingset, a dining room and kitchen, living room and four bathrooms! We also have a downstairs and a real fireplace that doesn’t use gas, or electricity. My cousin actually recently moved into a new house that’s only across the street from mine! I haven’t seen the house in person yet but I imagine it’s pretty cool. Hopefully once Covid has died down I will be able to go in his house and look around and play with him. My house is fairly old so I’m pretty sure we have a friendly ghost ourselves ;) there’s this one room in the basement that we use for storage, but it’s very creepy it’s dark, and there’s weird noises in it, and I’m pretty sure it’s haunted! Since I think this house is haunted I have a lot of nightmares! (but it could just be my imagination…) My house is not too far from the park and during the summers me, Ally, and my mom or stepdad will go over to the park for roughly an hour and play on the swings, and go down the slide. We’re also pretty close to a beach called the oasis and it’s really cool. People have their campers parked there and you can go swimming out to the platform and jump off into the water. It also has lots of playground equipment.
