Home means more than a roof and four walls

Many people have a different description of what home means. Maybe it is simply somewhere that one lives, but home can be much more. Home is a place where one feels safe. For me, home is somewhere I can hide from a big and complicated world. Memories made in a home become etched into the walls. A home carries a story, in this instance a story of family, friends and growth. A home is where you grow and where you fall as well. As long as I am home I feel a sense of warmth and love. In a home life is simple. There is no need to worry about the things that you simply can’t control. My home carries not just the joyful times but the troubling times, as well. I can feel free to be who I am when I am home, a place to be comfortable to discuss opinions and much more. Through these troubling times, a home is what many need, without a home how will one grow and change? There is no way of knowing what your future may hold. No sense of warmth or love. Imagine laying your head down at night and being scared, not only just scared for your safety but for what the future will hold as well. Having a home is a right. All people deserve a home. Without one, life is empty. Instead of home being their shelter away from the storm, they are out in the storm with no protection. A home is not just having a roof over your head. A home is to help you grow, change and to feel a sense of comfort. Home is a special place, a place that all people need and deserve.
