Home

Home is a place Where I can embrace Myself, My home is very safe In my home, It doesn't matter if you’re a different race Does not matter if you're black or white Let me tell you, it is quite nice It is a place where love exists It’s where I’m not threatened by fists It is a place where my family gives me unconditional love And It is where I’m hugged and not shoved My family makes me and my brother feel like winners And my parents always prepare us special dinners I love my brother James We always have fun and play games I feel peace During thanksgiving we have a feast Our stomachs are always full And i'm always warm with my blankets made of wool We’re always full after we have a meal Sometimes I don’t believe it is real I am so grateful for everything I have James and I always share and cut things in half To make sure everything is fair If only that rule applied to everyone that is homeless They deserve it! I feel bad for the people who live on the streets And I find it awful they have nothing to eat Sometimes when people walk by them, and they are rude Only the nice ones give them money for food Some young and some are old But does it matter? They are all so very cold We have to do this right We need to help these people have somewhere to stay at night Everyone deserves a home Or just a roof over their head Or somewhere to rest, like a bed Most would be honoured for just four walls Or some money to go shopping at a mall Everyone deserves a home That they can call their own ♡
