Everybody needs a home!!!

I asked my dog to go home and he went to our house, not because we live there but because that is where all the people who love and respect him are. People tell themselves they don’t have a home when they don’t have a house but houses are not homes. Everybody has a home, all they have to do is find it! My home is everywhere and nowhere because homes are a feeling. The feeling that my family brings whenever they are around. Family isn’t just by blood. Family are the people I love,trust, and the people that I respect the same way they respect me. My family doesn't just have my back but they also have my heart. So my friends are family because they are always there for me and my community because even if I don’t talk to them I’m still always happy to see a smile on their face. People say “Home is where THE heart is” but that's wrong. I think it is “Home is where OUR hearts love and grow together”. The feeling of home doesn’t have to be a grand gesture. Home is as simple as walking along the street and sharing a smile with a friendly neighbor or realizing it’s a weekend and I can stay up late playing games with my family. Just knowing I’ll be safe, that is the simple feeling of being home. Remembering something about a person is the smallest gesture but makes a big difference. I don’t need a house to be home. The one thing I need is the love of family. My House is built by bricks and cement but my home isn’t built, it is found. Finding my home by using love to guide us. Being reunited with family I haven’t seen for ages. Having my home by just talking after a bad day. Knowing all will be okay and I will be safe. As long as I’m laughing with them I am home. Homes are nothing until they are found by the love I share with my family. Home is my place that gets rid of bad memories and replaces them with good ones. My home keeps me safe when I’m not. The place that can make the hardest goodbyes the best ones. All the new places I’ll visit no matter where I am I can always get that feeling of home. Home is the feeling that will be with me forever. That is what a home means to me!!!
