Our home

Some people think a home is just a shelter, a place where there are walls and a roof. That's not true, a home is where you feel safe. A home can be on the streets, as long as you feel safe. A home can be in a basement, as long as you feel safe. Home can also be a feeling. As I lay in bed, where I rest my head I fall asleep dreaming about my family, my life, my future. I wake up the next morning as grateful as I can be, because some people dont wake up the next morning with the beautiful sunshine in their face. I get up out of bed and brush my teeth and refresh my face with cold water. Mmmm! I smell breakfast as I walk down the stairs on my way to the dining room. I know my mom puts all of her love into the food that she makes for me and my siblings to eat. I feel so blessed to be alive right now. We all have different homes but at the same time we all share another, Earth is a beautiful place, Earth gives us a home. There are a couple things in common with a house and a home, here is one. A house can collapse and so can your home. But you will always find a better one, for a house, you build it back with bricks and cement, but for a home you build it back with love and happiness. Some people feel depression, but that's because their “home” that they have now is not right for them. Keep searching and you will find a place where you are motivated and happy whether you are with your family or alone. That is home.
