What home is to me...

What home is to me……… My home is where my brother, Mom, Dad and sister are, I don't think I could be happy without them. Yes, we have toys and stuff, But people are not replaceable like a teddy bear’s fluff. There is laughter where they are, It is happier where they are. Home is a roof over my head, Sheltered from the hot and cold when lying in bed. I should feel safe where I am, Not worried about the dangers or the mayhem. Home is familiar, it is full of people I love. Similar hugs and voices, similar smiles and noises. Home is laughter wherever I am. With family or friends, There should always be laughter. Laughter is the definition of happiness, And Happiness is the key to finding home. So, I write this poem about my home for those without, Without family Without laughter Without a roof over their head Without happiness Without familiar people ‘Cause I do believe that everyone should have somewhere or someone to call “Home.” No matter what By Olivia Wesley Orangeville,ON
