What Home Means To Me
What home means to me
What home means to me: when I think of home I think of feeling safe and protected I feel relaxed and comfy. My house has been extremely important to me during Covid-19. Since I couldn’t do any extra-curricular activities like basketball, my dad put up a basketball net on our trampoline and I spent all my time there in the warmer months. Or I would play ping pong in our basement and my family would go in the hot tub almost every night together. My home is nice and warm on a cold winter’s day and nice and cool on a hot summer’s day. I have three, siblings one younger sister named Allison, who has been doing so many crafts for her dolls that no one else would be able to do. One older sister named Jessica who always wants to play any card game or board game and an older brother named Andrew, who has had a part-time job at no-frills but still loves to work out and play ping pong with me I have a mom named Keri, who works as a physiotherapist at the hospital and a dad named Matt, who is teaching at O.D.S.S as a science teacher. I also have a dog named Kawhi. Kawhi is a small border collie, he is black and white. He is so energetic and loves to run around the ping pong table when we play and go for walks. I have a much stronger relationship with my family due to being kept inside our house during Covid together. Since I have spent so long inside with my family I love to play with my brother a lot now or play a card game sometimes with my sister, and I would play ping pong with anyone especially with my dad or brother. I am so thankful for where our house is located on a really nice cul-de-sac on Elderberry street. Right behind our house, there are really nice walking trails or paths through the forest area where we can walk our dog. It is awesome because we don’t have to drive somewhere if we want to take our dog on a nice walk or go on an adventure in the forest area. Sometimes in the forest, I and my family would play capture the flag. The games would take a long time but it was always super fun. It was hard because there are so many trees most of the time it takes a very long time to find the flag. The flag would always have to be very bright and visible to see or else it would get lost in the trees.
