What home really is.
Did you know that around 1% of Canadians are homeless? That may not seem like a lot but it is.*In my opinion* a home is a place where i have shelter and a home is not just a place where i live.
A house is not a home unless you have memories and experiences and fun times with family
And it's not just a boring place where i just sit and play video games in a room, never talk to my family and never do stuff with them.
For example if I'm in a house and i don't have any memories and experiences or fun times with family and i never talk to anyone in my family or do anything with my family it’s not a home to me but if i do have memories and experiences or fun times then that's a home.
So home is a place with memories, experience and fun times and shelter also means home to me and everything I've said so far is what half of home means to me.
The other half of home to me is being safe, having warmth or coolness depending on the weather/season and I don't just either want to jump in an ice cold lake or stick myself in an oven Again depending on the weather/season.
For example if I'm sweating, boiling in the heat or freezing also depending on the weather/season I don't want to live there because who would and I’d feel sick.
I wouldn't want to live there because I'm not feeling good and it’s important that I want to live there otherwise I wouldn't live there.
So shelter is important because otherwise I might literally die which reminds you is not particularly good and that’s the second part of what home means to me.
So home is not the same for everyone.A house is not just a home it's much more. And many people do not have shelter and room to have fun or to play. And home is a place where I have shelter but also family which is more important than shelter *in my opinion* and just to think about what a home would be like without family fun and shelter and whatever else home is to you cause some people don’t have family fun rooms to play and have fun or shelter.
