What Home Means To Me

What Home Means To Me Close your eyes. Imagine you are in a warm house with a fire crackling. You are snuggled up on a couch with blankets and pillows are around you. You feel safe don’t you? You feel happy and comfy, correct? Now open your eyes. Take a moment to look around . What do you see? A loving family and food and water? These are things from a safe place we call ‘Home’. Homes are safe places where you make memories. Today I am telling you about what home means to me. A house is not a home because a house doesn't have the old scribbles you drew on the walls when you were little or the memories you made. Houses are just brick and concrete while homes are brick, concrete, family and memories. Some people what they call home is just the streets, that's why building homes for them is so heartwarming to them. House is not a home, memories make a house a home. Spending time with family is something that makes the memories in a home. Some things I do with my family are watch movies, play video games, board games and read books. These are things that make memories. Spending holidays with family or friends makes a lot of good memories. Funny ones, sad one and memories full of kindness. You might remember when your sister or brother gave you a gift or when your family made a secret birthday party for you. These are some good memories. Maybe you remember when your dog or cat died. That would be a sad memory. Memories make a house a home. A house is a house if in it you don't have family and memories. A lot of people are not lucky enough to have a home. Homelessness needs to be stopped. Between 150000 and 3000000 people are homeless. That is why we need to appreciate having a home. To me home is a safe place with memories. What is home to you?
