Meaning Of Home

Home is a simple word that is very complex. Home can either mean shelter, protection, love or other personal meanings. When you look at it from the outside, our home is just a house. A building with a yard. However, on the inside, it’s a lot more than wood and bricks. To me, home means not one, but numerous things. Home is a place where I feel secure, unconditional love, respect, happiness and comfortable. Home is about family time, living a happy life, and a cozy and warm place to live in. Home is what provides me protection from rain, snow, and any natural events. My home is where all my memories lie, where I remember playing sports with my dad, playing video games and where many family gatherings have taken place. A home is a place where people come together, a family that loves and supports each other through all the good and bad times in life. I am in a very fortunate position to be blessed with a wonderful family and that is why I am so thankful for my home. Home does not have a single meaning because the true meaning is for us to decide ourselves.
