My Home
My home is somewhere I sleep,
Where I wake up from a car's beep.
Where I play and have fun,
Where my parents help me get my homework done.
Where I can stay clean,
Where I watch movies on a big TV screen.
Where I cook and bake,
Where I can help my dad rake.
It's where we eat meals with family,
It's where I play board games happily.
It's small and cozy,
Where sometimes I feel very dozy.
It's where I help my mom with the groceries,
Where I give my sister accessories.
Where I help my parents garden,
Where me and my brother make a bargain.
Its where my cousin and I play hockey,
It is where sometimes I get cocky.
Where I can pet my dog,
Its where I can take a jog.
Some people don’t have this stuff,
But they stay tough.
And it's not fair,
That some people are not aware.
That these people don't have a home,
That's why I'm writing this poem.
I entered this contest today,
To help people have a place to stay.
