What Home Means to Me

A home to me is where I feel safe and where my family loves me. Seeing a lot of beautiful flowers and plants in my living room is like walking in a field of yellow sunflowers and green grass. My bed makes me feel like I'm sleeping comfortably on a cloud of cotton. My parents make my sister and me feel safe like little kids. When my mom and dad make yummy food for us, I am reminded of our tasty meals with my loving family in the Philippines. Making funny jokes and funny videos make us feel happy and delightful. When I go home I play Damath, a traditional Filipino math game, and other board games with my family. My mom always plays music and sometimes it makes me calm and sometimes it makes me dance. Sometimes my home is noisy like a market and sometimes it is quiet like a library. When I am bored, I play my ukulele, but when my aunt comes home, she plays her guitar and I play my ukulele. I belong here and I love being home because I am with my family. This is my home!
