What Home Means to Me

A home means different things to different people. To me a home is not just walls and a roof it is more than that. A home is a safe place full of love and happiness where I can spend time with my family. My family makes my home feel like home. I have a lot of memories in my home. This is where I grew up and that's what's so special about my house. It's where I took my first steps, lost my first tooth and met my dog Shyla, who greets me with lots of kisses when I come home. It's where I learned not to argue with my sisters and get to spend time with my mom doing lots of fun things. To me my home Is somewhere I feel safe. I feel like I can be myself at home and don’t ever feel left out. My home feels comfortable and safe to me because it has familiar things and smells in it. Like the comfort of sleeping in my own bed. I feel love in my house and the people that I love are in my home. I think that it is important that everyone has a home. Everyone needs to feel safe, comfortable and loved. Everyone should have a special place to make their own happy memories and to me that place is called home.
