What Home Means to Me
What Home Means To Me
The dictionary says home is “the place where one lives” but it’s so much more than that, it’s
wherever my family is, it’s where you feel you belong, and it’s where you create memories. I
might live in many houses in my life but they are not home, it’s who’s in the house that makes it
a home. Even when you go on vacation you are at home as long as your family is with you.
Home is also where you feel you belong because when you walk through the front door you
know that the people inside care about you. They encourage you to keep going when you feel
like quitting, they never stop believing in you, and they forgive you when you do something
wrong. Finally, as you grow up in your home you create memories every time you celebrate
holidays and birthdays, enjoy traditions, and try new things. Memories are also made everyday
when you do regular things like make up a game and play it with your siblings or just going on
walks and bike rides. If I could write what home means to me in the dictionary it would say “the
place where one’s family is, the place where one belongs, and the place where memories are
made.”
