The Home Experience
When I am home, I am protected. Not just by the walls that surround me, but by my family. As soon as I get in the door I feel relieved to be home. Home is my safe place.
A home means family and love. It means you are cared for and supported. When I play sports I know my parents are always there for me. Home means there is always someone there to help you. We are always looking out for each other.
Home is eating with your family. Making dinners together and cleaning up after them. Home even means chores, even if I don’t always like them. Home is responsibility and being proud of it.
When I have sleepovers there is nothing like the feeling of returning home and sleeping in my own bed. I have the most comfortable bed. My room surrounds me with the things I love. That makes me feel safe.
Home is what you are comfortable in and what you make of it. My family is home.
