The Meaning of Home
Homes are not just buildings
They are not just walls
They are our safe place
Where we can stand up tall
I look outside my window
I see a child on the street
I think of how thankful I am
To have my home to me
I cuddle in my bed
I hug parents tight
I roam around my home
Not knowing how far I’ll go
I sit down on my chair
I drink some yummy hot chocolate
I put the heater beside me
And put my feet above it
I know some people are poor
I hope that they can rest
I hope they’ll soon get homes
And live life to the best
