What Makes a Home

A home is a warm, safe place to be. A home is a place filled with love, happiness and kindness. A home might sometimes have sadness or anger but, that always goes away. A home normally has a place to be calm and a place to sit down and play. In a home there’s making and the fresh smell of baking. In my home there’s the bark of a dog. In a home there’s movie nights and birthday parties, colorful walls and chipping paint. But not everyone has a warm and safe home. That’s why I’m writing this piece, to help someone get home. Where they can be warm and cozy, make memories and have fun. A house is a building, a home is your own, and there’s no place like home.
