My Home

"I had the worst day of school today" I screamed as I got off the bus, " I flunked a test that was worth fifty percent of my grade, Ben and Blake wouldn't stop calling me flunk boy on the bus ride home and now I slipped in a mud puddle walking up to my house so yeah today sucked!" I opened the door and just then my dogs Wilber and Sophie came to greet me. "Hello," I said happily. For a minute I forgot I had a bad day. I watched T.V. and ate popcorn but then Blake and Ben walk into the room. "Hey look who it is, it's flunk boy!" Yelled Ben "Yeah it is!" Remarked Blake. " Flunk boy, flunk boy," they sang until I went to my room sobbing. About 20 minutes later my mom came in to my room and asked me what was wrong so I told her everything. "You know what, tonight me and you could go to McDonald's, just the two of us," she said So we did and we ate burgers and had a great time. My bad day didn't matter anymore because I had the best two hours of my life after school today. When I fell asleep that night I knew that home was more than a place I could be and feel safe and I had a family who loved me there too.
