The Meaning of a Home

A house is a building. A home is a place to live. A home is a safe place, a place for love and joy. A home is a place to share your feelings with those around you. My home is here for me, waiting for me, welcoming me. My home is a place for comfort. My home is a place where memories lie, and a place to make more. Every child deserves a home. We should all be grateful for the home we have, knowing that there are many people in the world who don’t have this comfort. No matter how big or small, a home is always a place for love. A home can be a place to start and end, and everything in between. And so I say again, everyone should have a home. Home is a place for spending time with your loved ones, dozing off in front of the TV together or baking cookies side by side, or even collectively enjoying a fabulous meal. A home is for traditions. A home is for laughs and tears, hugs and kisses. Home is a place to be received, a place where you find value in life. You can have a home without a house and a house without a home but everyone deserves to have a home. Period.
