Poem - Where My Heart Finds Home
Home is not just brick and stone,
Not only walls I call my own.
It is a feeling, warm and bright,
A gentle hug at the end of night.
Four souls under one simple roof -
My mom, my dad, my brother, and me.
Different minds, different drewams,
Yet bound by love so deeply.
After a day both long and wide,
When the world feels loud outside,
I step inside - and suddenly
A quiet calm embraces me.
No distant place, no shining dome,
Can match the peace I find at home.
No matter how far my feet may roam,
My heart finds rest when I am home.
Here, every voice is free to rise,
Without harsh words or judging eyes.
We speak our thoughts, we laugh, we share,
With listening hearts and patient care.
It is a space of pure respect,
Where love is shown in ways direct.
Where right and wrong are gently taught,
And kindness grows from every thought.
Through stories old and festivals bright,
Through culture passed in soft lamplight,
We learn our roots, our history,
And shape the people we will be.
Home is my shelter, strong and true,
My gifts small world, my clearest view.
More than a house, more than a name -
It is my strength, my guiding flame.
For whatever life may lead my way,
And however long I choose to stay,
One truth will always softly come -
My heart belongs, and beats, at home.
