What reminds me of home

Home reminds me of warm, happy feelings that make me feel safe, calm, and comfortable every single day. When I think about home, I picture my family being together, sitting at the table, talking about school, work, and funny things that happened during the day. Sometimes we laugh so much that it hurts, and those moments make home feel special. The smell of my mom’s cooking coming from the kitchen fills the house and makes everything feel cozy and welcoming. I can hear the TV playing in the background, footsteps walking around, and doors opening and closing, which makes the house feel full of life. When I walk through the door, seeing my two of my cats toward me makes me feel like I truly belong. Home reminds me of doing homework at the living room table, even when I don’t want to, and then feeling proud when I finish. It reminds me of playing board games, watching movies together, and staying up a little later on weekends. Home is where I celebrate birthdays, holidays, and special days with decorations, food, and lots of smiles. It is also where I feel better after a bad day because I know I am loved and supported. At home, I can relax in my room, listen to music, draw, read, or just think quietly. I don’t have to pretend to be someone else because I can be myself. Home reminds me of love, care, memories, and people who will always be there for me. To me, home is not just a building, but a place filled with comfort, happiness, and a feeling that I am never alone.
