What Does Home Mean To You?

Home is made up of safety, ove, memories and culture. Home means a place where I can laugh, play and rest my head at the end of the day. A place where I can feel comfortable and feel the warmth from hugs, we get to make jokes and it’s also a place where we sing out. It’s a safe place where I can sprout my arms out. My home isn’t just a build. Home is made up of safety, love, memories and culture. My home isn’t just a building, it's the energy inside where it’s positive and loving. Because having a place to go when you’re feeling low is something some may not know. Oh and when I walk through those doors I can smell my moms famous pasta bursting through my nose. It's a smell that can stop wars. So next time you’re at home take in all the love because it’s a privilege and that love is more than a whole village. When home comes to mind it's all about all the good times, none bad at all just me and family where all the love has grown tall. At night when I rest my head my family tucks me in even though sometimes I run to their bed instead. When it’s holidays like Christmas we do a lot more than open gifts. We tell stories, make s’mores, hot chocolate and more. Don’t think that’s all when I get hurt my family is all in awe, it’s because they care so that’s why. Now traditions are my favourite thing, our culture has a lot like cleaning up before holidays or cooking a big meal on Sundays. When home comes to mind it's all about all the good times, none bad at all just me and family where all the love has grown tall. What I love the most is when we all work together. Seeing my family together just makes my day even better. When it’s raining heavily and there is no where to go we have a movie night and rewatch our favourite scenes. Now traditions are my favourite thing, our culture has a lot like cleaning up before holidays or cooking a big meal that’s what makes our home a home. From this the meaning of home is way more than the shelter it provides it's about the family the love, safety, and culture inside.
