Home Isn’t Just A Place

Home is not just a place. It's where your family is and a place that makes you feel safe. Home is not just a platform with four walls, a roof and a door to keep you safe. There are all the rooms that make a home well, homey. First is the dining room, it's not just a place to eat dinner with your family and friends, it's a place you can talk about life while you eat. The bedroom is a place where you can dream when you are tired, and a place where you can just relax. The family room is a place to talk and snuggle up on the sofa and talk while you drink hot cocoa. The last one is the basement, even though sometimes it’s spooky, it’s also nice to have some alone time and to play by yourself down there. Things that make you feel happy and safe are your family and your friends. Your family is well, your family and they are people who you can basically say anything. Also, school is a place to learn new things, but when you have a tough day at school, that what your family is for, and that's what makes home a home. When you step in the front door, it feels like it is giving you a great big hug. Even though houses can't really do that, it feels like that because it is your cozy home. Home is not just a place; it is where God is working in your life and where all your best memories are.
