More Than Just an Address

To me, my home isn’t just a building with four walls and a roof, it is the feeling of being completely safe. It is the place where the air always smells like my amazing food my mom or dad cook and where I can truly be myself. When I walk through the front door after a long day at school, the stress of tests and homework immediately disappears. My favourite place to rest is in the middle of my comfortable sofa in the living room where I play videogames and lie down . That is where my family gathers to watch movies and share stories about our day. Even when we are just sitting in silence, there is a sense of belonging that I cannot find anywhere else. Home is also filled with small memories like the tiny dents on the bedroom wall showing how many memories I have in my family and within my home. It is a sanctuary where I am surrounded by the people who love me unconditionally. In summary, home is not known by an address and it’s not about the decorations but it’s about the warmth, memories, and happiness found inside my home.
