My Home

My home is more than a house...it is a part of my heart. To me, my home is memories of days that I have fun cooking with my mom, playing Nerf guns with my dad or playing fetch with my dog Harper. In my kitchen, there are new smells everyday. I can smell my mom's cooking from my bedroom. In my living room, I play games like Monopoly, UNO and Roblox. Home is watching Team Canada compete in the Olympics with my mom and dog on our couch. In my room, there are games, toys and stuffed animals that comfort me everywhere. In my mom's room, I can smell her perfume and her soap. My dog Harper sleeps in my mom's room. In my dad's room, I smell familiar smells of his cologne and deodorant. The smells remind me I am home. Home is my backyard where I play fetch with my dog. It is the summertime running around my backyard. It is the winter time laughing and throwing snowballs at my dad, when we then go inside and drink hot chocolate and lay under blankets. In the spring, home is making breakfast in bed for my mom and dad. In the fall, home is jumping around in all the leaves I collect. Home is everything to me.
