What Does Home Mean to Me
Safe: I feel safe at home because my parents are always there for me. For example when I get hurt my parents are always going to help me get better and provide the things I need like a bandage or ice. One time I was running down the stairs with socks on and I slipped really badly and twisted my ankle so hard I couldn't move it and had to go to the doctors and I got a white bandage that looked like a cast but you could take it off when you need to. I wore it for around three weeks and my parents were very helpful and helped me when I needed it.
Sense of self: I have a sense of self at home because no one cares how I look and no one will judge me. I also feel like I belong around my parents or brother and I love spending time with my family. And I have a great sense of self at home because my parents make me feel like I belong.
Motivation: My parents always motivate me to do what I'm scared of. For example when I go to an amusement park and I'm scared to go on a roller coaster my parents will always motivate me to go on it. My friends also motivate me to do things like sharing my ideas with my class or go above and beyond on my projects. And they always are able to convince me to do the right thing and face my fears.
Comfort zone: My house is my comfort zone because I feel comfortable in my home and I can do whatever I like . For example, I can sleep, play and bake at my house and I feel comfortable without the need to impress others. My brother is always fun to play with and hang out with as well and so are my parents.
Smell: Sometimes my home smells like fresh baked goods, for example a fresh chocolate cake or fresh brownies! The other times my home smells like delicious food!
