The Meaning of Home

Don’t you think if home had a smell, a taste, a sound, a sight, or even a feeling it would be the best in the world? What does home feel like to you? What do you hear when you're in your home? What do you smell when you're in your home? What do you see in your home? What do you taste in your home? Home for me is a full-body experience, it makes me use all five of my senses. To me home has a better smell, taste, sound, sight, and feeling than any house. When I visualize my home, I see my dad sitting in his special spot that he always sits in. I see my little sister watching PAW PATROL at her special spot on the ottoman by the TV. I see my mother and brother in the kitchen baking pancakes. I can also see my TV and my favourite show. When I think of the tastes and smells of my home. I taste really delicious food that my mom and my brother have made. It smells so delicious when I am waiting in the living room for it to finally be ready for me to eat. It is tempting smells like when my mom takes cinnamon buns out of the oven because, “Today I decided to let you have a special treat.” When I’m in my home I hear voices saying “I love you and always will.” I can also hear the TV when I am watching a movie with my family. When I’m in my room I can hear my brother telling me, “I’m tired, let me sleep.” When I’m in my dad’s room I can hear my dad typing on his Chromebook for work. When I’m in my home I feel like I’m getting embraced by a warm fluffy cloud when I’m in my blanket at night. I feel safe in my living room with my family. I can feel my brother hugging me when I feel nervous. I feel happy and safe when I am at home with my family. Those are the senses I feel when I think of my home, it is the best place in the world to me.
