What Does Home Feel Like to Me?

Home is a community where we eat, and sleep. It is where my family and other families unite and bring peace. That peace could be at a hockey rink, or at school. It could be at a church or many other places. My community includes my classmates, my teammates, and my neighbours. Another thing that makes me feel like I am at home is friendship. Friendship really makes me feel at home because my friends support me when I need it. They encourage me and, most importantly, this feels like home. My physical home is a place surrounded with joy, love, peace, friendship and laughter. Inside of my house, families come together and bring hope. For example, the day before Christmas, I have family members come over to my home and enjoy a special lunch together. This meaningful gathering makes me feel happy and brings me hope that my family will always be there for me. That is what home means to me.
