Elizabeth's Story

Elizabeths story with Habitat for Humanity!! Hi, my name is Elizabeth and I'm 13. My family and I are very thankful for Habitat for Humanity because my family didn't have enough money to buy a house by ourselves. We went to the Habitat for Humanity store in Windsor to ask them if they had a house we could rent from them. They said let me call some people to see if there is a house you guys can rent. Almost 2 hour later when we got home there was a knock on my family's car door by a lovely lady from habitat for humanity saying were lucky because there's one house left or available for us to live in for a little while we try and work to make more money to buy ourselves a house instead of renting one. My whole family, including my dog, left our car and started jumping up and down because we were so excited to finally have a house to live in instead of our family's stinky car. About a week later we got some emails from Habitat for Humanity reminding us that if we need furniture, they have a store in beautiful downtown Windsor. We needed a fridge so the next day we went to the store Habitat for Humanity and bought a fridge for our house. The fridge was perfectly in our price range. So that means we bought it! The fridge is grey with silver handles. My brother and I decorated the fridge with magnets and stickers. The magnets and stickers are Christmas because Christmas is just 12 days AWAY!!! My family is so excited to open presents and spend time with each other. THE END!!!! tess
