A house is not a home if it does not have the smell of your mother’s homemade chocolate chip cookies etched into the kitchen, after she made them on a rainy day just because you asked. A house is not a home if it does not have your cat’s fur all over your couch, after she sat and purred on your stomach for an hour because she knew you needed it. A house is not a home if it does not have Christmas music on Christmas morning that your parents played to get you up quick, because they were so excited to see the smile on your face when you got what you wanted. A house is not a home if it does not have the taste of your dad's world-famous BBQ ribs that you ask for every chance you get for dinner, because he makes them just the way you like it.
