Home

You might think a home is the same thing as a house but they are both very different. If you agree, come along with me! A house is a building with a roof, tall pairs of walls, a kitchen and a collection of rooms. A home is where you are safe and a nice place to be. You have everything you need. Home is where you're happy, loved and more. While a house has bathrooms, food and water galore. What matters most are the people who make a house a home and these are the things that help: Home is being thankful. Being grateful for what you have gives you courage to see the best in any situation and helps you be yourself. A home filled with gratitude gives each family member the chance to help out and be themselves. Home is where you are safe. Being safe is more than just staying out of danger. Safety is trust, gentleness and joy. It means knowing you’re safe without having to think about it. It means your heart is treated with kindness and love. It means that you think of others because love is most important and helps you feel safe. Home is where you're cozy - not just on a couch with your family - but being together because this is what really counts! Home has everything you need because you are with the people you love and because they love you. Family takes care of each other. Home is being filled with joy. Joy is being excited and making the most of what you have, knowing that every situation has something to celebrate, even though it might be hard to find sometimes. Joy fills our hearts with hope! Often people say that home is where your heart is - which is very true but more than that - home is where you are because it has you!
