The Two-Brother Home

Once upon a time, there was a little boy that lived with his older brother. The little boy’s name was George. He had never seen his parents, because they died of sickness. So George and his older brother set out to make a home. They found a good spot in the forest, and the brothers started chopping logs. While they were chopping logs, a rich business man rode past in a carriage. The man said to them, “Ha, you are using logs, stone and iron holds way better.” “We know sir, but we want a home, not a house .” The man rode away confused. Then a farmer walked past and said, “You should use the strong wood from my shop.” “We are good sir, because a home can be made out of anything, as long as it has love” “Suit yourself,” said the farmer and walked away. When the house was finally done it only had one room but the brothers were content. It was not perfect. It was not super strong and needed repair a lot, but it was home. They didn’t get along all the time, but in the end the learned to love and to live A few days later, the farmer, businessman, and a hunter came over and said “Pff, that is a small house." "Sorry sir, but this is a home.” said the brothers “and it is special to us.” And the brothers lived happily ever after in there… not a house, a home.
