What Home means to me

🏡 My home is where I can just be me, and as happy as can be. Home is a place where I make wonderful memories with my family. To me, home feels safe, cozy, and comfortable. It is the one place where I can truly enjoy myself and feel like I belong and isn't just a building where I sleep and eat. My home is full of teamwork. Whenever my parents are cooking, they let my brother and me help by tasting the food or adding ingredients to the pot. At dinner, we all sit together to enjoy the meals and treats my parents prepare. We talk about our day and share our feelings, whether they are good or bad. I remember one day after my badminton class, I came home crying because I wasn't doing well. My parents hugged me and said it was okay to struggle. They told me that if I kept practicing, I would get better and better. That support made me feel so much braver. We also have special traditions. Every Friday is movie night! We sit on the couch and take turns choosing a film. Sometimes we pick a kid’s movie, and other times we watch a Telugu movie, which is a language we all understand. We even get to eat ice cream late at night! Before bed, my parents take turns telling us stories. Even when I practice my cultural dance, they explain the meaning behind the dance so I can show the right expressions. Whenever we are in the prayer room my parents tell Slokams and we repeat them because we pray and it’s also our tradition. We also learn life lessons from the stories we hear,Home is where I learn, laugh, and always feel loved.
