What Home Means to Me
To me, home is where I can be myself. I don’t have to pretend or act differently. It’s just me. Home has all my stuff, like my bed, clothes, and things I like. It’s where I can laugh, talk, or just do my own thing without anyone bothering me.
I like the little things about home, like hearing people walking around or talking, or smelling food when someone’s cooking. Stuff like that makes home feel warm and calm. Home is also where a lot of my memories are, like birthdays, holidays, movie nights, and even regular days that turn out fun. When I’m not at home, I sometimes miss it because everything there feels easy and normal. It’s nothing special—just a chill, comfortable place that makes me feel calm. matters most is that I feel welcome there and can just be myself.
Home doesn’t have to be big or super nice—it just has to feel like my place. Home can also be the people who make me feel safe and happy, no matter where we are. What matters most is that I feel welcome there and can just be myself. I can be quiet, loud, lazy, or silly, and no one cares. Even when I’m older, I know I’ll always remember how home feels. That’s what home means to me.
