Home is Not Built Just with Concrete and Bricks
Home is not built just with concrete and bricks. It's made and built from love and happiness.
Home shouldn't be somewhere you hate. It should be somewhere you feel cherished and safe.
Home is amazing in its own way, no matter the size, shape, place, or age.
But home’s not just a building or a house, it's where the people you want to be around are, where you feel like you belong.
And the thing is, having a home where you feel seen and safe is a wonderful and amazing thing to have. So be buoyant and glad you have a home like that.
Again, a home isn't built with just concrete and bricks, it doesn't even have to be a building or place. It's where you feel joyful and secure, where you can be yourself and where the people you love are.
Most people have a house, a place or even people that feel like home. But some don't. And the people who don't have somewhere or someone like that can't relate to this poem which is saying a home isn't built with just concrete and bricks, it's built with more than just building materials, it's built with love and joy. But I think everyone should be able to. Even if it's just one person. That's why I find that the “What Home Means to me” writing contest that raises money for people to get homes they can afford is a wonderful idea. It's sad some people don't have a place to call due to the lack of money they have. Everyone deserves somewhere like that. Thank you to Habitat for Humanity for doing this and making the world a better place for people that need it!
