My First Feelings About My New Home
Why do I have a home?
Where is my home?
I used to ask my little self.
I failed, searched.
Asking and asking.
I used to live in a big home, but when I said bye I cried asking myself why.
I was scared and felt weird.
I asked myself what my home is going to be like.
I stared out the car window thinking about my sad and good memories.
It was dark when I stepped on my right foot and left foot inside my new home.
I felt empty pretending to be really excited as I was looking at my new home.
When I went to bed the next morning I smelled toasted bread. My home was not that bad at all . We were all doing something different, my dad watching the news,my mom cooking and my sister playing with dolls.
Why is my home so lovely after I felt scared, you would probably ask. It is where me and my family spend time together, we play games and snuggle on the couch when it’s cold,we have movie nights together and eat popcorn and drink pop. Your home is not just where you eat ,sleep and play, it is where you spend time with your wonderful family that is why it’s so special to me even when it felt scary the first time I stepped inside. Once I felt lonely and felt scared, but now there are good memories in my new home too. My home is where I feel safe and happy. And that is why my home is special to me and my family. I love my home. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for helping the people that do not have homes or do not have money for their needs, especially the homeless people.
