This is my home

Home isn’t just where the walls around me are. It’s where I can be myself. Where I don’t need to be shy or lie; where I feel like I’m home. Home is where culture is. Where I can do what I want without people judging me for my religion. Where I can feel safe and happy. Sometimes at my house I’m scared. But in my home, there's always a warm hug waiting for me. Home is my mom’s delicious cooking and me and my dad taking the freshly baked burning hot cookies. Home is where me and my dad play piano at night way past when we should. Home is where I feel loved and safe. My home is special, and so is everyone else’s. My home is special because I have family who loves me there. I have my favourite dog in the world there. Home isn’t where my shelter is; it’s where my family is. Home is love.
