What Home Means to Me

Home is like a fluffy blanket wrapped around me everyday, it’s where I feel happy and joy. When I’m sad, home gives me a hug and fun jokes cheers me up! The pictures on the walls are where those fun memories have been made. It’s like a beautiful diary with the best time I’ve had. Birthdays, vacations, that make my life enjoyable, and entertaining everyday. My family is full of love, peace and pleasure. My mom is like the chef that cooks enticing flavors from delicious food everyday. My dad helps me with my homework like the teacher does. He teaches me with a nice voice which makes me feel very happy. What about my little sister? She likes to stick to me no matter what I do. Sometimes it’s fun to share, but sometimes it is not. As a good older sister, I want to treat my younger sister well. Home is like a huge oven that keeps me warm from the freezing weather outside. I could stay in my bed with a cup of hot cocoa and read a novel when it snows or rains. It’s also fun to spend time inside with my family. We could stay together and watch a movie while there is bad weather. In our living room it is a wonderland, there are many types of board games, and activities to do. Whenever I’m bored I could walk into our living room and pick a game that I enjoy, but asking my family to join me would be even better. When I was young, I didn't know what home meant, I thought it was just a place to live. As I grew older, I started to understand home is not a building, home is a place where you find love, happiness, and peace.
