WHAT HOME MEANS TO ME

Home means family, work and playing. My home is like many others in Canada. My pet running around the house, my brothers playing outside, my kitchen fuming with smells of asian cuisine that my Mom cooks. My Dad is working and reading about politics or Canadian history. What is different about my home is the baking and all of the visitors. The oven always making smells as sweet as freshly cut grass, and homemade cookies or brownies ready to eat. When the visitors come my whole family walks outside to greet them to our home. My home is like a birthday party. Family congratulating you for what you have done and sharing treats or gifts for each other. The family always comes over for fun outside or inside, then we run and grab fresh fruit or treats. We also play games like Yahtzee or Monopoly. Best of all you always feel safe. I used to think home was a roof and walls. Now I know that home has thousands of descriptions. I like to say that home means family, love and comfort. Wherever your family lives, that is your home. Thank you habitat for humanity steadily making the world a better place by giving to those without homes that special feeling that I have.
