What Does Home Mean to Me?
My kitchen....
I love my home. In my home, the people there are me and my mom, my cat, and my dog. When I am in my kitchen, I smell the steak that she is making. What I hear is the sizzling of steak in the frying pan. What I see is my mom, clean dishes coming out of the dishwasher, and my dog and my cat wanting food. What I feel is water running over my hands when I am washing the dishes. I also feel the joy of making biscuits with her. What I taste is the great food my mom brings to the dining table.
My living room... In my living room I hear the Olympics playing on my TV, and my cat playing with his cat tree. What I feel is my dog laying beside me on the couch, or a book in my hand. What I see is my cat playing in his cat tree or my dog laying beside me or playing with her dog toys, or my mom sitting in a chair in the living room. I might also look out the window and see a dog getting walked by its owner. What I smell is the food in the kitchen being made.
My room... I absolutely LOVE my room because I feel safe there. I see my vanity and the stuff on it; my bed and blankets. I see the light-yellow paint on my walls. I see a safe place to stay. I see my closet with all my clothes in it. In my room I feel calm, warm, and I feel my blankets when I go to sleep. I hear my cat or my dog sleeping beside me, or the wind coming in through my window.
My basement... In my basement I see a grey fluffy carpet, yarn for my mom's hobbies, and a nice warm couch with blankets on it. I feel warm, chill, cozy, and safe down there. Sometimes I feel afraid to go down there by myself but that is because I do not like the dark.
My pets... I love my pets, I take my dog named Willow for walks, I play with my pet cat named Merv. And most of all, I care for, feed, and play with them. Sometimes they do not have a good friendship with each other but that is what pets do. My dog is three, and my cat is five months, I think.
