Meaning of Home

What home means to me is not a house with a tv, It’s a place where people love me and nourish me too, A place where I flourish and grow to my best, A place where I can say all my secrets, and they’ll never be said, a place where I’ll cry and they’ll cry too, That is a home where I’ll love and grow. A place full of family, a place full of love, A place where my brothers, my parents, my friends, Can all be together and all lend helping hands, A place where arms wrap around you to give you a hug. My home is a prairie, a wide open sea, Where I can shout and scream, Where I can climb a tree and say I am free! Because that’s what I feel like in my home; free, In my home, when I breathe in that air, it is so clean. I breathe out because I am free. My home is with mom, my home is with dad, And with my brothers, who make me feel clean. My home is not a house, but a concept of sorts, A thing that is safe and friendly, a person, a place, Mine is my family, my heart is with them, They are my home.
