What Home Means to Me

What home means to me... What is the difference between a house and a home? A house is just a building, but a home is where my family is and where my pets are. 5 senses to describe my home - In my home I can see my kitchen, living room, bedroom, my brother’s room, my mom and dad’s room, and dogs and cats. I can hear my dogs barking, my cat meowing, doors opening, my family walking, my dishwasher running, and the sound of my washing machine. I can smell the food my dad or mom are cooking, my pet's food, the cold air in the winter, the Febreeze from the bathroom and the warm air in the summer. I can taste the food in the fridge, in the cupboards, and in the freezer. This is the last sense out of 5. I can touch everything, just not my brother’s things. Name a room in your home that makes you feel the most safe, and why? I feel like the basement is the safest because if there was a tornado, my family would go down there and there is a TV in the basement. What makes your house a home and why? This is what makes my house a home. My animals, my family, love, and the memories because I had been living in the same house/home all my life.
