The Three Meanings of Home
Has someone ever come up to you and asked, “What does home mean to you?" Well, for me, there are three meanings. First of all, home means love. Love could be how you admire and look up to someone; it could be a bond you have with someone that could never be broken, or it could be a feeling you have for the person that you get out of bed for every day. However you see love, home means love. Secondly, home means memories. Memories such as silly memories, happy memories, sad memories and angry memories, yes, even angry memories. All memories are special. Memories could be with anyone and anywhere. Memories could be with your friends in school, or with your family on the beach. It doesn’t matter how long ago the memories was made, it could’ve happened ten years ago or even one minute ago. Yes, even the one minute ago memories are special memories. However long ago it was, home means memories. Lastly, home means emotions. Emotions as in when you feel happy, sad, loved or cared. When you feel safe, mad, embarrassed, excited, and all the other emotions you can think of. Whatever emotion you feel, home means emotions. So that’s what home means to me. Now I wonder what does home mean to you?
