It’s Not Just Steel and Concrete
When you think of home,
You might just think of concrete or steel.
But deep inside it matters,
About what you really feel.
When I think of home,
I think of a place,
Always full of peace and laughter,
I can always call my home base.
When I’m sad, or I’m mad, or just really upset,
I can look to my family,
Whenever I fret.
A place full of thankfulness,
A place full of fun.
A place of connection,
Wherever I run.
A place that’s supportive,
A place full of love.
A place where you’re happy,
And all of the above.
Sure, a house,
It could be only concrete and steel,
But a home that’s different,
The feeling of love needs to be real.
So yeah, to me
That’s the meaning of home
With love all around,
You’re never alone.
Thank you, habitat for humanity,
For making the world a better place.
Always full of love and kindness,
A world we can all embrace.
